giving Q & A
Why should I give online? Giving to Redemption Church helps support our mission in Philadelphia: to spread the fame and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Practically, it helps cover pastoral salary, worship expenses, and outreach.
Who should not give online? If you worship with us on a regular basis you should give during our worship service. Giving is an act of worship best done in the context of worship. However, if you would like to support Redemption Church, but you don’t regularly attend please feel free to take advantage of online giving.
What does the Bible say about giving? The Bible says a lot about giving. First and foremost, we are to give of ourselves. This is our spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1-2). Giving is so much more than our money. Giving involves our time, our talents, and our possessions. Second, giving is to be done cheerfully. It should be a joy to give to the work of the Lord.
How do I give online? Click the Donate button on the Give page.. You will be taken to Paypal’s website. Follow the instructions to donate. You do not need a PayPal account, but if you set one up it will help you keep track of your donations and will streamline the process. You may also set up a recurring donation on a monthly basis.
How can I keep a record of the amount I have given? You will have the option to print out a record of your donation. You will also receive an e-mail from PayPal for your records. Redemption Church also keeps track of your donation and will provide you with an end of year statement. Please make sure your address is up to date.
Can / May I use my debit card or credit card? You may use either a debit card or credit card. However, if you are in debt we’d strongly encourage you to focus on attacking your debt.
Will I pay a fee for donating online? No, but Redemption Church pays a small fee with each credit card transaction.
Who do I talk to if I have more questions? Please reach out to Pastor Will if you have more questions about online giving or giving to Redemption Church in general.
